Mozilla Thunderbird setup for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP


Step 1: Click the Start button and go to "All Programs -> Mozilla Thunderbird -> Mozilla Thunderbird."


Step 2: Ensure that "Email account" is selected, then hit "Next."


Step 3: Type the display name you wish to use (a display name is what email recipients will see as the sender). Below this, type your email address and hit "Next."


Step 4: Ensure that the "POP" box is checked. Type in "mail.skyq.com" in both the incoming and the outgoing server boxes, then click "Next."


Step 5: By default, the username should be the first part of your email address (without the "@skyq.com" part). If this is not already in the box, enter it here and click "Next."


Step 6: The account name should already have the email address entered; if it does not, enter it here then hit "Next."


Step 7: A summary form should show all the information you entered. Verify that it is all correct, then click "Finish."


Step 8: Thunderbird will now download your messages off the mail server. Type your password in the popup box and click "OK" to continue. If you wish to have Thunderbird save your password, check the box below the password field.
